If you love beautiful pastel colors, you'll love Sultan Pastello! All the colors belong to a gorgeous light palette. Each skein has an almost magical color variegation, which happens gradually over the total 800 meters of the skein.
Sultan Pastello consists of 100% pure cotton in good quality, so the yarn will be wonderfully soft - even after washing. The yarn is made up of four strands that are not twinned together, which also makes the yarn extra airy. Both knit and crochet projects turn out super soft and have a beautiful drape. Use it for shawls, scarves, a nice blouse, blankets… anything where you want to create beautiful effects with long gradient color changes.
You will need approximately one skein of Sultan to make a shawl or a scarf. The yarn will change color for you, and you decide whether the yarn should change from light to dark or vice versa by simply starting at the outside or the inside of the skein.
Take a look at the whole Sultan family, with lots of exciting color combinations that are just waiting to jump into your next creative project!
Tip: Before using the Sultan skein, run all 4 strands through a small bead, so the strands are aligned throughout the project.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I will say that this yarn requires patience, but if you have that then this yarn is wonderful to work with. Like the description says, using a bead or something similar will help with the loose strands. This was my first time using a yarn that didn't have the threads spun together, and there was some splitting, especially at the start of my project, but it got better once I got used to the yarn and the project developed a little. The yarn itself is not the softest cotton I've ever felt, but it is soft and the stitch definition is really nice. I ordered the 06 and 07 colours to make shawls with and the colours are true to the photos on here. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would, but the issues I've mentioned are very minor and I have given it 5 stars based on the fact that I would buy this again.

I used the Sultan Pastello 03 Mulberry for the Deluxe Baby Blanket pattern by Hobbii. I managed 22 rows of shells vs the 23 the pattern calls for with the longer, deluxe cake. The yarn itself is lovely to work with, but I definitely recommend threading it through a bead or something similar to keep the strands together while working. I put it through the washing machine at 30 degrees and blocked it, no issues at all. The color gradient is beautiful, and I’d use this yarn again for another ombré project! Everyone I’ve showed my project to is impressed by the color changes and I tell them that the yarn does all the work for me!

I purchased this yarn around a week ago in 2 different colours - 02, grape and 03, mulberry. Honestly - It's one of the most beautiful yarns I have ever came across! The colours are stunning and it is SO soft! Fine but strong yarn. I bought enough mulberry to weave a blanket ☺ so hopefully (after I move house next month) I'll be able to steal ahead with that, and I will be able to post a picture of the finished article before long.
Can't wait to buy more! Highly recomended yarn. ☺
Thank you l, Hobbii!

I have used 4 sultan pastello cakes and they create a lovely soft finished product. I thought it would end up rough for some reason, but nope, soft soft soft! I have worked from the center and outside, and had no issues. The ply not being twisted hasn't been too much of an issue, the bead trick works great, and if center pulling, pop a glass in the middle of the cake to help it keep it's shape.

First time user of these cake yarns, i had luckily seen the wool was split into strands so knew what to expect. I’m a newbie in the crochet world so a little bead helped me keep the strands together. I loved the ombré effect it was beautiful on a baby blanket. The yarn worked up beautifully and soft and the recipient loved the finished product. Ordered more :)
