I really enjoyed this pattern, my first CAL. I was really pleased I did the swatch as I needed to use 2 different sized hooks for the different colours to get the right tension! I was worried I’d run out of yarn otherwise. I used both versions of the pattern, the video and the written version. It made any peculiarities so much clearer when I didn’t ‘get’ the meaning straight away. I managed to finish each session within the week and was eager for the next chapter every Wednesday. I loved this and will happily do another crochet pattern again.

Loved this pattern. Instructions were clear and well written even I a novice at crochet understood them, if there was any thing that I wasn’t sure of watching the video helped clarify it. I would recommend doing the tension swatch. The choice of yarn was spot on and lovely to work with. The variety of stitches meant I never got bored and made the process of finishing go so quick.

So lovely to have a CAL that wasn’t a race. The design has quite a few stitch configurations that resulted in beautiful textures. The yarn choice was gorgeous and was easy to work with. My tension was slightly loose, but using a 3.5mm hook did the trick and I was able to finish with very little waste. I really enjoyed this CAL

Really enjoyed making this. It’s just challenging enough for an advanced beginner like myself, without being too difficult and frustrating. I’ve enjoyed learning the new stitches and found them all easy to do because of the videos. This is my first shawl and also my first intermediate pattern :-)

Thus was a really pretty pattern to do. It was well explained and I had no difficulty following the instructions. I would be happy to try another project if it was the same quality as this one .
