Hobbii Granny Square - Sunflower
MEASUREMENTS
11,5 x 11,5 cm (4.5” x 4.5”)
PATTERN INFORMATION
From the Great Depression, to the hippie movement and recently on fashion runways, granny squares have always been around!
Because of their versatility and customization they can be turned into absolutely anything, from the traditional blanket, to summer tops, skirts, bags, cardigans, vests… Anything! You name it!
They are an excellent way to make use of your scrap yarn and experiment with color combinations but they are also easy to carry around with you! So what does a you-granny-square look like?
NOTE! The pattern in the photo is made with one or more discontinued colors. Check your cart for color alternatives.
Here you can easily and quickly buy everything needed for this pattern.

I've just made a tea cosy for my faithful little teapot. I found the pattern easy to follow and I learned how to work the incomplete double and treble crochets into the bargain. I worked 5 granny squares (4 sides and the top) then croched them together leaving a hole for the spout and handle. It gives me a smile every morning when I pour a cuppa! Thank you Hobbii.

Loved making this - not 100% sure it's beginner level though (although I suspect it depends on what you class as beginner). Took me a short while to get my head around the incomplete double and treble crochets, but once I had it was pretty easy. This pattern is going to make a great granny-square bag when I've crocheted enough of them.
Tip - trust the process. Mine started looking a bit wavy after the first couple of rounds, but each additional round pulled it into shape. Would probably still benefit from blocking.
