Umami Tweed is a chunky, soft, and voluminous yarn for big needles and hooks. You get 150 grams of durable and lovely warm yarn made from a perfect blend of wool and acrylic.
It’s a pleasure to work with Umami Tweed’s bulky, soft texture. The yarn has the most beautiful play of colors since the wool and acrylic vary slightly in color. The play of colors is only enhanced further by the beautiful flecks that give the yarn that classic tweed look.
Umami Tweed is a good choice for crochet or knitting projects for beginners. The yarn is thick, and the stitches will lie nice and even to let you see your progress clearly. And it’ll help you find and correct possible mistakes easily.
You can use Umami Tweed for projects for the whole family. It’s terrific for clothes or interiors like pillows and blankets. The yarn will always give your project a nice thickness, and since it’s machine washable, it’s easy to maintain. You can combine it with Hobbii Umami, the solid color version of the same yarn, to great effect.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I have been looking fora super chunky tweed effect yarn in certain colours for a long time, and this was just what was looking for. As with all hobbii yarns it is beautiful to work with, though I did find it a little snaggy with a 10mm hook, I think this is due to the fibrous nature of the blend and the tweed effect.

I use this yarn in combination with Umami for lots of things- it's very easy to work with and makes cosy hats, throws and jumpers.
