As a color chart: Attach a piece of yarn and write the number on the disc as well as other relevant information about the yarn/color. You could, e.g., jot the info down in a notebook.

Adapt it to your project: When starting a new project, you must first choose the colors you want to use. Attach the hanks to an empty organiser to keep them all together during the project and get off to a great start. 

Both organisers have beautiful cutouts with motifs such as flowers, leaves, and hearts, and the wood has a lovely natural finish. One side of the disc has numbers laser-printed next to each hole.
