I've knitted a few pairs of sock before, but fancied a shorter ankle pair. Whilst I could have adapted a pattern I already had, I opted for this one as I liked the idea of the toe shaping at both the big and little toes - ending up with a left and a right sock, rather than just generic socks for either foot.

It's a very simple pattern to follow and I like the uniformity of the stocking stitch heel flap, matching the rest of the sock, rather than the slip stitch design you often see on other socks. The toe shaping is again easy to follow, although once completed, I am not sure it really makes that much of a difference in terms of fit than other sock designs.

A great pattern though, easy to follow and good range of 3 adult sizes.

The perfect beginner sock pattern! Absolutely on love with these socks I made them in the same yarn as shown just a tad longer 👌🏽 they fit perfectly for the size 40/42 I made and work wonderfully with my doc martins for a wonderful pop of colour 💕
