PATTERN INFORMATION

Dive into the bold and graphic universe of the Roli Vest, a modern play on color blocks and interlocking intarsia motifs. This vest is designed as a statement piece, combining strong geometric shapes with carefully balanced color areas, including a distinctive top/bottom and central separation that structures the design. Roli is the perfect project to explore intarsia knitting while creating a contemporary and colorful garment.

The Roli Vest is worked bottom-up using circular needles and the intarsia technique. The ribbed hem is knitted in the round, then the body is worked back and forth to make color changes easier and keep the wrong side neat. At armhole level, the work is divided into front and back, which are knitted flat separately. Shoulders are joined using a three-needle bind-off for a clean and sturdy finish. The collar and armhole borders are picked up directly from the garment and knitted in the round, then finished with a tubular bind-off. The pattern includes detailed written instructions as well as charts to guide you through the intarsia motif row by row.
