PATTERN INFORMATION

The Chunky ZigZag basket is a round basket crocheted using the overlay mosaic technique. With this technique, you crochet each round with a different color. To create the mosaic pattern, you work double crochets in the front loops of the underlying rounds. Because these stitches overlay the work, this method is called overlay crocheting.

After crocheting the base, the basket is worked upwards in the round, allowing you to easily change colors with each round and avoiding a large number of yarn tails that need to be woven in.

The pattern includes a detailed description of the mosaic technique, accompanied by supporting photos. A table for the mosaic section has been added.
