Making it right now. So far so good. I haven’t learnt the x single crochet yet. But it never hurts to learn a new stitch. I’ve never used yarn so thick either. It’s definitely a challenge

Think this will be more suited to experienced crocheters as the way the pattern is written is confusing.
I'm making this with Aran (8) so I'm having to do more stitches however the way it's written isn't helpful.
Thank you for giving me enough info to adapt the pattern. I must post a pic when I'm done

As a beginner making this using an actual pattern for the first time, it was fine until the ears section. The pattern becomes almost impossible to follow at that point, I had to use what I already know about crochet and improvise. However, it is a fantastic project and works up really quickly.
