Metallico is a lovely yarn that really catches the eye with its beautiful, satin shine. You might know other yarn qualities with similar metallic effects, but Metallico is soft like no other. Here you get the nice, shiny effect without compromising on comfort.

Metallico is made from a shiny, satin-like thread of polyamide that’s encased by a fluffy, lightly brushed mix of merino wool and soft acrylic. It can be used for the whole family - including those with more delicate skin since the yarn doesn’t itch but is soft and lovely. If you want a truly unique result in your next knitting or crocheting project, Metallico can be the perfect yarn for the job.

You can easily make the loveliest hats, scarves, or other accessories that will get the most beautiful shine that makes Metallico different from all other yarns. You can add elegant ribbed edges to your knitwork with it. Or use it in a festive sweater. The shine of the yarn can lift a very simple design into the extraordinary. A lovely, striped cardigan can become magnificent if you combine different colors.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I bought this yarn originally without having a pattern or a plan for it. I eventually found a pattern for a shawl that I thought would go perfectly with this yarn. The yarn itself is really soft, and the shimmer the threads in it have are really stunning.
I used four different colours and made an ombre from black into silver blue, to blue and finally to teal. I've received nothing but compliments for the shawl when people have seen it, and the light makes it look amazing.
I doubled the yarn threat up for the pattern, as this is on the lighter end of the yarn weight and that allowed me to stagger the start of each new colour to make a more cohesive and fluid colour change between the colours.
I will add that you need to keep it away from cats and sharp rings though, as it does catch and pull really easily, as when you look closely you can see that it's made from a mesh rather than spun twists.

Received these yarns as part of hobbii bingo prize and I'm so over the moon with them. I would never have thought to try these myself as other metallic yarns I've tried in the past have had a scratchy feel. I am so pleasantly surprised at this yarn. Not only does it have a gorgeous metallic sheen but it is just so beautifully soft without even a hint of scratchiness. I was so pleased to receive something that I wouldn't otherwise have tried. The colours are stunning and I've already started looking at other colours to order. I haven't decided on a project yet but I'm thinking that these need to be used for something special maybe a special sweater for an evening out.

Just received the package today and am over the moon with it. The yarn is gorgeous and extremely soft, seems very workable even for me as a beginner. It arrived within a few days of placing the order which is great especially seeing as it went from Denmark to UK. They even threw in some darning needles and a sweet which was lovely. The only slight thing is the yarns smaller than I thought it would be but that could just be my mistake from not reading the description properly plus it's so cheap that buying multiple is really not an issue. All in all, very impressed and will definitely be buying again!

Loved this yarn. I crocheted a sweater in lovely teal colour in yarn from hobbi . It’s crocheted vertically rather than the usual horizontal. I used this yarn in Tahitian green which added a touch of luxury to the finished garment. It was easy to use, a lovely rich colour that toned so well with the plain yarn bringing a life to it. Soft to the touch. I highly recommend it. I’ve just ordered more of the same and also in two other colours.

Amazingly soft and warm yarn. I used this yarn to knit and crochet my totally turtle blanket. Although the blanket used about 5 balls of each of the colours and ended up being plenty big enough to cover a double bed it was surprisingly lightweight. I loved the fact that joining the yarn was sooooo easy as it is formed as a lusterous metallic knit tube encasing all the merino fuffiness making invisible (or Russian) joining simple.
