Azalea is a wonderful cotton blend that consists of four thin strands that stick together without being spun together. This allows for the most amazing color gradients! The combination of cotton and acrylic results in a light and remarkably comfortable yarn that is both breathable and soft. The acrylic adds some elasticity to the yarn, allowing it to keep its shape, and is not as heavy as 100% cotton.
Azalea is available in many gorgeous color combinations with an unusual depth to the colors. The large, lovely 200-gram cakes run an impressive 800 meters. The beautiful color variations happen smoothly throughout the entire ball, one thread at a time. This results in a stunning, slow color gradient.
It’s up to you, which color you want to start and finish with because you can start from the inside or the outside. Yarn cakes are easy to deal with, even when you’re on the go. You will need one ball of Azalea for a shawl or a scarf, or you can combine several into a summer dress or blouse for a beautiful dip dye effect.
Because Azalea is related to many other gorgeous yarns in the shop you can already hunt for inspiration among the patterns for the same yarn type, like Honolulu.
Pro tip: Before you start working the cake, run all 4 treads through a small bead to help the threads stay together throughout the project.

I love the colours of this yarn and it feels so soft. I bought this while on sale, I wish I had bought more than just the one. I haven't used it yet as I love it so much, I want to be sure to choose the right project for it. It was intended for a shawl, just need to decide which pattern to make.

Used the pink delight to make my first mosaic throw in the round. Working with 2 cakes, I used the same colour but started one cake from the centre and the other from outside, absolutely beautiful colour changes. Will make a fabulous gift.

soft, light and frogs easily. may be difficult for beginners to use due to the 4 strands not being twisted. drapes beautifully with slow smooth colour changes. i got colour 10

I made my mum a shawl with one cake of this yarn and absolutely loved it. The colour changes are done beautifully and I rarely found the yarn splitting. Definitely recommend

Lovely yarn, easy to work with as the 4 strands stick together throughout. Nice colour gradient & very soft to the touch. One cake is enough to make a decent sized shawl
