Friends Wheel is a lovely combination of the softest cotton with the lightest acrylic yarn.

Cotton brings strength, softness, and durability, whereas acrylic contributes to giving the yarn vibrant colors and a nice feel to the touch.

Friends Wheel is made out of 4 threads and will create a gorgeous drape when worked up. You can now unleash your creativity by planning fabulous lace projects such as tops, cardigans, shawls, scarves, etc. If you prefer a fuller look, you can always stick to the recommended needle/hook size or even double the thread up.

Up for experimenting? We recommend pairing Friends Wheel with a fluffy thread of our Friends Kid Silk, it will do wonders and give the garment a hint of luxury and extravagance.

This yarn is machine washable at 40°C (104°F), which makes it perfect for everyday use and suitable for children’s garments as well. The whole range comes with our “easy start” pull-out tab, making it much easier to find the beginning of your skein.

It is time to get creative with our Friends Wheel

Pro tip: Friends Wheel is a very flexible yarn that can be knitted tightly with 2,5 mm needles (US 1.5), so you get a knitting gauge of approx. 28 stitches. You can also knit it looser with  4 mm needles (US 6) and get approx. 22 stitches for e.g. extra soft shawls and scarves. Thus, you can experiment with the knitting gauge and easily vary it with various needle sizes depending on the project you are about to start.
Please note: Friends Wheel and Friends Wheel Multi will never match up 100%, since they are dyed in separate dye lots.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

About the Friends family

The colors of the yarns included in the Friends family are literally friends!

This means the color numbers correspond to the same color across the different Friends yarns. If you order the same color number from two different Friends yarns, they will match. Please note that there can be slight differences in the shades from fiber to fiber.

Have fun combining and matching them in all your projects.

Madeleine

I really loved this yarn, i made some cute little sardines and also i did a tapestry with it. Slightly slippery/shiny, but does make nice feel on the finished project.

Genevieve

This yarn has a really nice drape to it and works well for mesh and fishnet stitches, perfect for summer!

Karolina

beautiful colours and nice yarn to work with, love it for summer shawls, any colour any shape!

Eleanor

Lovely 4ply yarn. Colour is gorgeous. I used for Amigurumi

Louise

I really like this yarn. It's definitely worth it when on sale for £6.30 but I think £10 is a bit steep. I do however want to warn anyone else that gets tempted by the little 'start here' tab pulling from the middle. They collapse and become a tangled mess. Maybe I'm missing something but definitely seems like a better idea to start from the outside like normal and save yourself hours of fixing tangles towards the end of the ball.
