Alpaca Blaze is soft as butter. A lovely mix with fine alpaca fibers that don’t itch. It works amazingly as a second strand in your projects, where it’ll give your craftsmanship volume without making it heavy. Imagine being able to knit a light, fluffy cloud into a blouse. If you want to knit a sweater on large needles, you can easily combine two or more strands of Alpaca Blaze. You could, e.g., mix colors in shades that are close to each other for a beautiful mélange look or smooth transitions by changing one strand at a time. The lovely mixture of fine alpaca fibers yields incredibly light and airy results that are hard to find with other yarn types.
Alternatively, Alpaca Blaze is also great when paired with a thin wool or alpaca, if you want your projects to have a fluffy glow.
If you want the light and fluffy volume that you’ll find in other yarns like our very popular Diablo but want to avoid mohair altogether, then Alpaca Blaze is a great substitute. It doesn’t shed like a mohair yarn and is an affordable alternative to, e.g., a kid silk.
Need inspiration for a project? Consider taking a look at our Diablo patterns. The knitting tension is the same for the two yarns, so you can use the same patterns without worry.

I used this yarn to add some texture to a jumper recently. A single strand held together with a thicker yarn works beautifully to create a more interesting colour combination. It is soft and easy to knit with. I tend to avoid knitting with wool as I find it irritates my skin, this alpaca blend is a great alternative and is a joy to wear. I’ll definitely be using it again.

OMG! What a yarn! I have never held anything as soft and lightweight as this yarn in my hands. It's like holding a cloud, honestly! It's a shame that I haven't discovered this yarn earlier. I received this yarn as a part of a bigger order that arrived today, fell in love with the yarn instantly and immediately ordered some more! Definitely will be buying a lot of it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! If you are wondering if you should buy it- YES YOU SHOULD! It has a lovely texture, the colors are beautiful and the quality is very good! I combine mine with the soft alpaca hobbii yarn and my projects look so expensive and you can feel the quality. It again makes for a light but really warm project.

beautifully soft, no itch, and light as air. bought as a treat for my mum who is going to use to make a soft cowl. plus, if your a squidger ( and us yarn fans usually are!), you wont be disappointed! i wasn't!

Used this alongside another yarn to add a bit more softness to a scratchy yarn. Love the result! I find mohair quite itchy and it goes everywhere, but don’t find that’s the case with this yarn!
