Starlight Christmas is a lovely, bulky wool mix twined with reflective thread. The reflective thread adds a subtle mixed look to the yarn and will reflect strong sources of light in the dark (e.g. headlights of a car or flash from the camera). Perfect for those dark Winter months during which it is crucial to be seen in the traffic.
Starlight Christmas is easy to work with and works up fast when you knit hats, scarves, or gloves with knitting needles size 8 (EU size 5). The wool is super-wash treated so you can easily machine wash it at 104℉ (40°C). Just remember to use wool care detergent and avoid fabric softener.
Please be aware that Starlight yarns are not safety-approved for use in traffic. Even if you decided to knit yourself coveralls out of the yarn, it will only be supplementary - Starlight will never be able to replace a reflector or a high visibility reflective vest. So take care of yourself in traffic and ensure visibility with CE-approved reflective materials.

I was a bit unsure about this yarn so only ordered a few in Christmas colours for the kids to have a hat each. I’ve just made a second order for lots more as now the hubby wants a hat for work now it’s dark early. I think it’s a must have yarn, great quality, washes up well, dries quickly and had no knots or scruffy joins.. would really recommend this to anyone even though I’m gutted every time this sells out

I bought black shade of this wool and made a 5 in 1 shawl, scarf, pashmina, wrap and bolero with it. I used 15mm needles. It knits up quickly and looks amazing with silver embellished buttons on the cast off edge which will be pushed the openings in the knitting to secure the garment in place. My friends have seen photos of the completed piece and love the way it sparkles in the light.

To start with I was disappointed as could not see reflective so just read reviews. Just used my phone camera and flashlight and lit up well. Can't wait to use. Super impressed with the service that I have received cannot get over how quickly my order came and great communication. Hope to use again in future but trying to use my wool stash up. But I expect I shall be tempted.

Purchased in Denim and Grey to make a striped hat for my son as the nights and mornings get darker - really nice to work with and the reflective strands really bounce the light off creating a wonderful sparkly effect. My son loves it and I'm now working on another hat in Lilac for my daughter! One and a half balls is about right for a child's hat.

My eldest son has sensory issues so I was gambling on whether he'd be able to tolerate a hat made from this yarn. I needn't have worried, it made a hat that was soft enough to please him (after one wash) and the reflective quality had him stood in front of the mirror in the dark shining a light at his head to admire it
