Starlight Soft Christmas is a soft and lovely acrylic version of our mega-popular Starlight. It has the same type of reflective thread woven into the yarn, which can’t be felt in the finished project. Although the thread is hardly visible in the yarn, when it is hit by light it will produce a reflective effect. It’s a really fun and functional detail which is a real hit, especially in the dark months.
Starlight Soft Christmas is easy to work with and with size 5 needles it can be quickly transformed into hats, mittens, scarves, and more. It’s soft and comfortable against the skin and doesn’t itch. It can also be tolerated if you’re allergic to wool!
Please be aware that Starlight yarns are not safety-approved for use in traffic. Even if you decided to knit yourself coveralls out of the yarn, it will only be supplementary - Starlight will never be able to replace a reflector or a high visibility reflective vest. So take care of yourself in traffic and ensure visibility with CE-approved reflective materials.

I’m a beginner in the crochet world but very much appreciate a beautiful yarn! The thickness of this yarn was perfect for my first attempt at a little stuffed object: I combined the cream and red to make a lovely little mushroom. The ‘starlight’ effect under some lighting adds another element to items made with it making them seem extra special- even when simple! I’m also using the cream to make eyes for my susuwatari.

I am a crochet novice. Bought this yarn to make a beanie for yard work. I found it a really nice yarn to work with - end result looks really neat. It is very clever - you don't really see the reflective flecks until you are in the dark and get caught in a beam of light - you then light up like a Christmas tree apparently! I am about to place my 4th order as friends are asking me to make beanies for them now

My child chose Curry (colour 21) for me to crochet a hat for them this winter. Having the added reflective strand, which is quite subtle by day, helps them to be more visible to passing cars in low light conditions during the school run.
The yarn works up beautifully and the reflective strand is well incorporated into the yarn so that there's no splitting whilst working it.

I am new to crochet and bought this yarn for a couple of simple projects and it is so lovely to work with. A lovely chunky yarn which makes lovely cosy hats/ear warmers/wrist warmers! The reflective strand is amazing. By day it’s a regular hat but when you shine a light on it you have a galaxy on your head!!!
