You’ve seen them before! The pretty summer hats and beach bags instantly get you in a sunny, sandy, vacation mood. The incredible accessories made from raffia make their way back to the city and beach every summer (even though we firmly believe that a beautiful raffia bag can be worn all year!).
You can do all this with our Rafaella!
Rafaella is made from 100% raffia paper (raffia is originally made from palms), is durable, and recyclable. We do not recommend that the yarn comes in contact with wet or moist objects, e.g. a wet towel. Colors may transfer.
Small tip: Rafaela can also be used as a ribbon when you wrap presents. A more sustainable and prettier alternative to the classic plastic ribbons.

It's quite quite hard to work with, however, all paid off when I saw the outcome of my project. It's wonderful to hear the compliments from my friends and family. They are now all wanting to get one of the summer hats, hence, a new batch of Rafaella plus Paulina ordered! So excited!

My favourite Hobbii yarn. It's useful for so many projects like hats, bags, and mats, and it is super eco-friendly, too.

I bought Raffaella to crochet a hat, having seen one for sale at a ridiculous price.
It is harder work than I would have hoped, and I have had to go up to a size 4.5 crochet hook (and might also need a cushioned handle)
But the effect (?so far) is marvellous. I shall be looking out for another great deal on it!

I dislike using raffia yarn because I find it so inflexible and it hurts my hands but projects with this turned out so lovely! yes my hands still hurt but the range of colours, which I hadn't seen before made it worth it. I think as far as raffia goes is pretty decent but be prepared to have to work for it!

The yarn is hard, little elastic and difficult to knit. My hands even started to hurt a little. But the colors are really bright. I really like my beach bag. My girlfriends are also thrilled. I bought more of this yarn at an excellent price and will now knit beach bags for my friends.
