Bolcheværk is celebrating the nordic flavor universe with this hard candy where the sour sea buckthorn is combined with sweet orange. They added a dash of lemon powder to the middle of the candy to enhance the flavor even more. It is their take on a sour, mouthwatering candy with a perfectly balanced flavor profile. Sea buckthorn is a small, orange berry also known as ‘the lemon of the north’. The berries grow on a bush that typically grows along the shoreline. Sea buckthorn is, among other things, full of vitamin C and antioxidants that help strengthen the immune system and aids in keeping a healthy metabolism. They used a natural sea buckthorn aroma to give our candies acidity and flavor.

The candies with sea buckthorn and orange are – like all their other products – completely sugar-free. Instead of sweetening the candies with sugar, they used an extract from the leaves of the stevia plant that are extremely sweet.
