Amigo is a really soft yarn with wonderful, airy volume. It is produced from 100% HB acrylic of very high quality and comes in an enormous selection of colors.
HB stands for high bulk. It is a production technique that uses steam and pressure to make the fibers contract a little and curl so that they become fuller. The result is a light and soft yarn that is both comfortable to work with and to wear on the body.
Amigo is easy to work with in knit as well as crochet, and a little goes a long way! There is a whopping 175 meters in 50 grams. It is absolutely perfect for soft, warm blankets, but also lovely for things like sweaters, hats, and scarves that will never be itchy. The airy yarn will keep you warm and won’t get too heavy.
The entire Amigo series is distinguished by its light volume, uniform structure, and great durability. It can be machine washed at 30°C, perfect for everyday use. Colors and shape will hold up to wash after wash. If you’re allergic to wool, or if you want to opt out of animal fibers for other reasons, you can replace it with Amigo for a soft and lovely result.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I recently ordered quite a lot of this yarn for a particular project. When it arrived, I was surprised at how super soft it is. The colours are gorgeous and vibrant, even though I ordered muted colours. The yarn is so easy to work with and the best bit of all? Not a single knot in any of the balls I've used so far. It's a very good quality yarn at a great price. I'll definitely have more of this in future.

Hi, I enjoyed knitting my daughter a V neck jumper with this Amigo DK wool. It was so soft to use and my daughter was thrilled to bits with it. Because I loved knitting with wool, I have just ordered Amigo XL for the project that I’m now doing for my Granddaughter. Once wool is here, out with knitting pins and away I go. Well worth its money for the finished project. Cheers H

I only taught myself to crochet in November 2022, but I am totally hooked! This yarn is fabulous, lovely and easy to work with, very soft, their is a huge colour choice in this range and I’m afraid I have not been able to resist buying it. I have a rather large stash already!!

Bought this yarn for amigurumi, I usually prefer cotton to acrylic yarns but the soft texture and colour range really won me over! Pretty easy to work with, the yarn does split while working with it but it is easy to manage. I use a 2.5-3mm hook and it works great!
