KnitPro cable transitions are the perfect tool for connecting two cables to create an even longer cable. They are especially useful if you knit larger projects, thus needing longer cables than normal.
The kit contains three cable transitions: two of 35 mm and one of 50 mm, and a tightening key for easy tightening of the closure.

Really useful to have, especially if you only have shorter cables on hand and you need something a bit longer, or you're knitting a large project like a big blanket etc. They do make it a little less smooth for the stitches to slide over them, but no more so than sliding from the cable onto the end of the needle.
