We are not all the same, and our bread baskets certainly don’t need to be either. In this third part of the bread basket tutorial, I will show you five different ways to add a little extra pizzazz to your basket to get that personal touch we all want.

Yaaaaay, you are done with your bread basket! If you still feel like it needs that extra little something, or you want to add some fun details to it, you have tons of different options to do just that.

Handmade-label

A classic way to finish off your project is to add a “Handmade”-label. It’s the perfect way to show the world that you made this basket with your own two hands.

Handmade labels come in all kinds of different materials like fabric, PU leather, and even wood, and they can be attached in many different ways as well.

Leather/PU leather strap

If you are going for a more rustic look, a leather strap is the way to go. You can use PU leather or real leather, and both come in several different colors.

The strap can either be attached in a purely decorative fashion, or you can attach them so that they can be used as handles. This makes for lots of interesting design options, depending on your choice of color and attachment style.

Buttons

Are you more romantically inclined? Then I recommend some of our beautiful bling buttons. They are a beautiful way to finish your project.

Multi-color

Want to make more than one basket? Then you could try and spice things up with a multi-colored basket. Where you choose to change the color of the basket can make a huge difference to the finished project, so don’t be afraid to have fun with it and be creative.

Scraps

The scrap yarn look is very in these days, and a basket is a perfect way to use some of the scrap yarn you have lying around. You don’t even have to stick to the same type of fiber. Using different fibers looks really cool and makes it much easier to use even the smallest scraps.

I hope you enjoyed your journey into the world of crocheting and that you want to give other fun crochet projects a go in the future.
