Glossy, delightful bamboo meets soft and fine cotton!

A special yarn in 100% natural materials has been made and it’s a dream to work with.

Rainbow Bamboo consists partly of cotton of very high quality and partly of a viscose which is spun on bamboo fibers.

Bamboo fiber is very strong and adds extra durability to the cotton. It is also breathable and regulates temperature. If you are allergic to wool or animal fibers, Rainbow Bamboo can be a really great alternative.

The delightful materials are soft and comfortable against the skin, which makes Rainbow Bamboo especially suitable for all forms of clothing, carpets, and other interior projects.

With the added weight, knitted and crocheted pieces in Rainbow Bamboo gain a certain fall that is beautiful and keeps its shape. Remember to let it flat-dry after washing.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Note: We have given Rainbow Bamboo a little brush up changing it to bullet-shaped skein. The colors and quality remain the same. Please bear with us while we phase out the old stock as, during the transition, you may receive either shape.

I got colour 27 and it’s a really lovely cool toned strawberry milkshake colour. Looks better in real life than the screen imo. I have used bamboo blends by other brands and this is one of the better ones as it doesn’t split as much. It’s really soft but compared to some other bamboo blends, it feels a bit more snuggly / fluffy whereas brand A and B feel more silky. Which makes it just slightly less slippery when worked. Overall this is one of my favourite yarns but it’s on a thinner side which isn’t ideal for me.

I used this yarn for some Amigurumi and it is beeeautiful. I was previously using cotton which gives a great finish but is just SUCH hard work to work with whereas the Rainbow Bamboo is brilliant. It's super soft and I had no issues with splitting whatsoever, great colour choices and one ball goes a long way. The stitch definition is great, it's not too stretchy so you don't have gaping holes and it doesn't shed fibres like acrylic yarn so it's good for babies.
I used a 2.75mm hook and it turned out fantastically.

Being familiar with the softness of bamboo fabric I decided to try Rainbow bamboo yarn - I think it may be my new favourite, it’s beautiful! As others have said, it is so much nicer to work with than 100% cotton yarn, no splitting and beautiful stitch definition. I’m using it to crochet the Hobbii Simple Scarf and I’m so pleased with the results. The fabric it creates is soft with a lovely weighty drape, it feels very luxurious. I’ll definitely be using Rainbow bamboo again.

Beautiful yarn and lovely to work with. It also responded perfectly when I used a Russian join for the first time. I was looking for something different to make a baby blanket with and this was a perfect choice. The finished product had a lovely silky finish and was a good weight. I was delighted to see the blanket it use this weekend when I met my great-niece for the first time. I will definitely be using this yarn again for my next baby blanket.

Lisa

This is the nicest cotton I have ever used. It simply glides on the hook. It doesn't split at all like some cotton. It has such a silky feel to it, its a dream to work with. I'm currently making a blanket with it using a 3mm hook and the stitches are so defined. I will definitely be using this yarn again.
