I have been looking for a dog jumper pattern that doesn't have leg holes as my dog has arthritic joints, and this pattern is great. It is very easy to follow and it looks fab once it's finished! It took me a bit of time to understand the instruction to "ss back to ch1 sp," but that was just me lol - I got there in the end and it's a really good way of disguising the ch3 (if anyone else is stuck: once you have completed the ss of the previous round, turn your work and ss back in the ch1 space from the previous round, ch3 and turn back to the right side, continue round as normal). I would definitely measure it against your dog as you go so you are making it the right size!

This is the first large piece of crochet I’ve attempted and I’m so impressed! Brilliant pattern and easy to follow. I made it for my son’s dog and went by his measurements as they live a 3.5 hour journey from me in the East Coast of Ireland. The coat is too big for their lurcher for they won’t let me rip it out to try to reduce it. So I’ve suggested that maybe they could wash and tumble dry it and if it shrinks badly it will always fit one of their 2 cats!!! Loved doing and will definitely try it again but this time I will measure the dog myself. Thank you for the wonderful pattern and lovely wool.

This is a great pattern for all dogs as it's easily customisable and can be measured and adjusted as you go. It's also a great way to use up yarn and be creative with colours. Granny squares mean the design is easy enough for anyone to follow and can be worked up quickly.
