Garland is the result of the collaboration between Hobbii and Pom Pom and it is the perfect combination of fun, style, and sophistication.

It is a lovely made-in-Italy yarn with a tubular cotton structure into which the softest alpaca fibers are blown. These colored fibers softly peek out from the tube, forming a delicate halo that elegantly stands out against the always-white twisted surface. The color palette, carefully curated by Pom Pom, takes inspiration from desaturated colors, vintage tiles, and textiles resulting in a range that includes brighter hues as well as more neutral ones.

Garland is a medium-weight yarn, so grab a pair of 4.5 mm (US 7) knitting needles or a 5.5 mm (US I-9) hook to start crafting: clothing, accessories, and home décor projects. Its softness makes it ideal to be worn directly against the skin both by adults and children.

Garland weaves together beauty and charm, letting your creativity flourish in every project.

Beautiful soft yarn, very nice to knit with. I made the Pressed Flowers kerchief and it turned out really nice.

I ordered the navy blue and didn’t like the look of it when it arrived; the blue was too purply and I found the contrast between the two yarns unattractive when a sample was knitted. I decided to dye it so that the core would also be navy and carefully put it into skeins with multiple ties to hold it together and, in preparation for dying, washed it on a cool wash inside wash bags. Oh dear! It shrank to around a third of its original size and the alpaca fibres are so intermeshed and felted that I can’t imagine that I will ever be able to disentangle them. The website does say ‘hand washing recommended’, but I did not expect such an extreme result from a washing programme which copes well with cashmere knitwear.
