ABOUT THE PATTERN

The Barley Field Slipover is worked bottom up. The slipover is worked in double rib stitch with a lace pattern on the front. It is worked bottom up on a circular needle until the armholes. Then the work is divided. From here, the front piece and back piece are worked separately. The shoulders are joined with kitchener stitch, and ribbing is worked along the armholes and neck opening.

Great pattern once Id mastered it. I'm from the UK and some abbreviations were different to what I'm used to but I soon sorted it out. the slipover looks fantastic! The yarn is gorgeous and very soft.

I’m really struggling to understand this pattern, it is poorly written with no explanation if it’s worked consistently in the round and if you follow on with the other numbered rows or stick to row 1 to create the pattern. Also the You Tube videos are dreadful! No sound, captions or explanation of the other stitches in the graph!
