The boss was really excited when he got his hands on this super soft and light yarn from Norwegian Viking.
And yes, he was right: The yarn is as soft and light as a cloud. Do you need a jumper for your child(ren), a shawl for yourself, a sweater for your other half, or else a large blanket for the cozy evenings? Then it will be a pleasure to knit just that in this yarn.
The yarn is thick and soft, and because it’s just so lightly spun, a finished men’s sweater isn’t especially heavy. Alpaca Bris is knitted on size 6 - 7mm needles, which means it’s not a problem to whip up large projects as well. The gauge consists of a mere 15 st per 10cm.
Look forward to getting started knitting with Alpaca Bris - It’s a pure (and soft) joy.

I love this baby alpaca yarn with merino wool and nylon. Colour choices are plenty and the softness of the yarn feels like cashmere. Cashmere yarns usually are very expensive and this Viking Garn Alpaca Bris is an excellent alternative. The hand feel of the yarn is light, soft and warm during crocheting. It becomes a delightful experience to create a garment project like jumper, cardigan or simply a scarf. It is a chunky yarn and a beginner friendly yarn to crochet. The stitches are easily seen as correct or not during crocheting, and it is also easy to rework and release the yarn if a mistake is made. This is the second time I bought Viking Garn alpaca Bris yarn and I will keep on buying more for next project!

Lovely lovely soft yarn, incredibly warm and lightweight. Easy to work with because of the nylon core but don't try frogging as the loose fibres won't stand for it at all.
The jumper I made with this is one of my absolute favourite winter jumpers and it's warm and snuggly. The knitted fabric has lovely drape too.
Losing one star for the shedding. This yarn sheds more than my cat in spring. It is everywhere! Due to this it also pills quite badly, my gorgeous jumper is already a bit bare at the underarms after just one winter, but also I did have a fairly large gauge needle for it so that may be contributing. The rate of shedding has slowed a bit after a few months but it's still noticeable.
