Our friends from Mayflower have done it again. This time they have conjured up a true yarn-color miracle for us. Say hello to Mayflowers 4! Mayflower consists of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic, and consists of thin strands, which have not been spun. Thus, it is suitable for several projects, including shawls, blankets, hats and scarves.

Mayflowers 4 is available in 11 beautiful color combinations with long color shifts of 3 colors, which you will quickly fall in love with. Mayflowers 3 comes in large delicious 200 gram yarn balls with a running length of about 800 meters, in other words, there's more than enough to "go around" :-)

As a small bonus, on the back of each banderole is a free crochet pattern for a nice shawl. Click to view it here. If you prefer to knit, find the recipe for the shawl as shown in the picture right here.

NOTE! It has come to our attention that the recipe for the crocheted shawl may be hard to get started with, so we've made a detailed guide so everyone may get a good start. See it here.

You need one yarn ball of Mayflowers 4, in order to make 1 shawl.

Lovely colours and relatively easy to work with, despite the strands not being twisted. I’m making a shawl with granny lines and I love how the colours change. I’m doing it on the tube commuting to and from work and it’s so easy to use because the yarn flows so smoothly, you don’t have to yank it to get it out.

Vibrant colour . I am crocheting a shawl for a friend, but will purchase more yarn to make one for myself.

Knits up very well and makes a large wrap.

I was a little worried about how I'd get on with this as the strands aren't twisted together. It was very easy to use and I'm very happy with the result. I made a crochet virus shawl and the colour changes were great. My only niggle is that there isn't more yarn in the cake, because I would have liked the finished shawl to be larger. I will definitely use this again, and perhaps try knitting next time (to make it go further) or use a more lacy pattern on a larger hook.

Lovely yarn to work with, soft and light. I just love the long colour changes and that one thread at a time changes, it adds excitement to the peice and to your experience. There is a tiny knot at ech colour change but, as it is just one of the four threads when it is worked, it really isn't noticeable. I bought one cake then bought five more I was so impressed! I have made the Lost In Time shawl which I downloaded from Ravelry and it is just lovely.
