Carnival is just as colorful as its name, a color explosion of yarn.

It is carefully created and the clear and gradual color shift is integrated into your project most wonderfully. In addition, the strong colors change automatically, so you’ll get nice stripes without having to join loads of ends.

With Carnival, you’ll get a super soft yarn that lasts, besides, it’s easy to handle as it can be machine-washed. It’s unbelievably soft, shiny, and totally itch-free as it doesn’t contain wool.

Be inspired by the radiant colors, when you knit or crochet Carnival and use it for everything from clothing to interior items. The color palette will only please.

Carnival is a single-ply yarn, which means it’s not spun from several strands. The rustic structure is reminiscent of handspun yarn with natural variation in strand thickness. With a single ply yarn, you get a nice softness and incredible colors. It also means that the yarn may feel loose and not as strong as other yarns. However, that feeling disappears completely once it’s worked up, and it will be just as resistant to wear and tear as other plied yarns.

Let the party begin!

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I absolutely adore this yarn. It is the most beautiful yarn I've ever seen and used. The range of colours is just incredible. I bought two balls each of Trinidad and New Orleans in the sale and I keep wanting to buy more and having to stop myself as it's becoming an expensive habit! It's not just the colours, the yarn is also really soft so it's lovely for clothing. Two words of warning though, apart from wanting to keep buying more. It's recommended that you use a 4mm hook or needles but it's thinner than it looks so if you want a tighter stitch, you'll need to go down one or two hook/needle sizes. Secondly, it doesn't respond well to being unpicked (tends to split and go fuzzy) so it may not be the best yarn to use if you're an absolute beginner, or else you'll end up unfortunately having to waste some. Apart from that, I love this yarn and can't recommend it enough. I'm sure I'll be back to buy more very soon, if my bank balance can stand it!

I bought Carnival (Venice) some time ago and absolutely recommend it; it's so soft and a good size (Light 3 - Double Knitting in UK). As yarn is an investment, I feel it's really important to let others know how things panned out. Well the result is a beautiful crocheted sweater using a Janine Myska pattern. As I totally ignored Janine's sizing advice, I finished up with a smaller jumper than I wanted; it does fit, but is about . The jumper is beautiful, the yarn is fab - now I want to make another sweater in the Copenhagen shade, so watch this space. My advice: treat yourself, buy some Carnival and I am sure will agree with me that this yarn is well worth the investment. Additional advice: always follow your designer's advice.

I have ordered this yarn because I loved the colours and the gentle shine to it - I bought Trinidad (03) and Quebec (13).
I absolutely love working with it. As a beginner in knitting I found that using wooden knitting needles is easier for me as the yarn is not slipping of the needles. I'm knitting an Entrelac shawl using Trinidad (03) and recommended needles 4mm and I love the way the colours change and I have already been asked to make another one. The yarn does split a bit if the twist gets loose.
I'm yet to try crocheting with it but I'm sure it will as beautiful.

I bought 4 balls of colour number 16 Mazatlan and I've crocheted the Tip to Tip Shawl. I was really pleased with this yarn as I normally like to have a little bit of wool in the mix but it actually felt quite 'woolly' but definitely not scratchy. I was also pleasantly surprised that I only had one join in one ball and all the rest just flowed with no knots which was very helpful. I would certainly buy more of Carnival. It is labelled a DK but I would say it is on the thicker side of a DK. Definitely worth trying.

This yarn is so soft. The colours are gorgeous. I've used it for a blanket and it's a nice thickness giving a good weight feel to the finished item. A few times I've had to unpick a join found within the ball and then find and cut at the correct point to reattach it, so that I kept the colour change correct, but I would have had to do this at the end of a ball anyway, as you can't guarentee that the next ball will start at the same place you just finished.
