Stine Radicke

I, Stine Radicke, am the woman behind I have a degree in textile design and my desire to create cannot be denied. As a child I spent every summer in my grandmother’s and uncle’s sewing room, primarily at the cutting table with a bowl full of mixed buttons, and I could barely squeeze myself in between the wall and the table while my uncle would cut pattern parts from the large amount of fabrics.

I also have a huge love for yarn. This love started for real when I visited Iceland during my education. I visited Iceland to embroider on an Icelandic saga, but all the knowledge I gained about sheep, washing, coloring and production of yarn combined with the insanely rich yarn shelves in the supermarkets made me reach out for my knitting needles, and I have not been able to put them down since. I knit whenever it’s possible and I always carry a knitting project with me in my bag.

I design knitting patterns in cooperation with Hobbii and they are available for free on Hobbii's website but you can also find my knitting patterns on started with the wish to expand the knitting craft. I knit with my own family in mind and with the idea that the finished knitted project has to be useful and the knitting pattern has to be easy to follow.
